Floral Guernsey

Welcome to Floral Guernsey

Guernsey may only measure 25 square miles but it is bursting with natural beauty. We are also lucky enough to have the islands of Herm and Sark a short boat ride away, and Alderney a little further north. All four islands give their own special natural delights and add to the overall Floral Guernsey experience.

Wildflower cliff walks delight as much as horticultural shows, country lanes and cottage gardens which are adorned with daffodils, primroses and violets, to name just a few. Historic formal gardens compete with bluebell woods and natural orchid fields. Commercial growers and nurseries supply cut flowers and plants to the industry, with Guernsey Clematis being renowned worldwide.

Guernsey also has many Environmental Sites with ponds, reed beds, wooded valleys and wet meadows which are a magnet to wildlife, keeping up an important contribution to our environment.

Guernsey has a rich Floral Heritage and a passion for all things horticultural, which reflects in the Island’s private and public gardens.

Every year Guernsey takes part in the national RHS Britain in Bloom competition which keeps our Parishes on their toes, particularly in late summer when judging takes place.

RHS events are also a part of our Floral Events Calendar. This is as well as our three Floral Festival Weeks in Spring, Summer and Autumn and many other events throughout the year.

With the islands in bloom all year round you are guaranteed a truly unforgettable floral experience - whenever you visit!
